Stephanie Plum and former black hooker, Lula. The compliment each other and are such a joy to read their dialogue and their actions.

Today, yes. It's 70+ degrees and 50 mph winds. But tomorrow it's supposed to be 4 degrees.

Great. Still relying stories. I'm trying to finish the second in a series of The Texas Panhandle Murders.

Don't focus on getting it right your first time through. Just get it done. You can always go back and fix it --- but part of a novel isn't interesting to anyone. Write the whole damn thing and polish it until it shines.

Being the first person to know this new story. Sometime I don't know where it's going or what the characters are going to do --- and I love to surprise myself with new twists and information which makes everything new again.

I get up every day and can't wait to get to the story. I enjoy writing so much --- I love to tell interesting, humorous, and engaging stories. I keep the story interesting to me so I hope it will do the same for my readers.

The second novel in a mystery series I call "The Texas Panhandle Murders." The first in the series was "Murder in Muleshoe," and now I'm in the middle of "A Corpse In Canyon." The stories are not connected except in the location --- the Texas Panhandle. All my character are unique to each novel.

I just skip on ahead to a point in the story where I know what happening. In scriptwriting I used to just put a bunch of dashed across the page and say something like ---"somehow they get back to town." Then I'd keep on writing. Sooner or later it would occur to me how the unresolved point in the story actually got resolved. My focus was always to keep going and get the first draft one.

I wanted to continue writing my series The Texas Panhandle Murders. One of the titles I've already come up with was, A CORPSE IN CANYON, and since Canyon is within easy driving distance of my home in Amarillo, I decided to write this on. When it's done, I'm going to write another wester in my series about the Texas Rangers and most likely come back to this series with ARSON IN AMARILLO.
