What books are on your summer reading list this year?
John Hively I am thinking about reading Currency Wars, and I am reading Corporations Are Not People. I'm also reading another of Jim Butcher's Dresden File series.

John Hively They just pop into my head.

John Hively Usually, something I perceive as unjust inspires me to write, or my love of writing.

John Hively I'm working on a young adult fantasy, a series of short stories, and my new economics book called "Seeing Through the Bull Shit and Lies."

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
John Hively Keep plugging away. Keep working on your skills. Join with other writer's in workshops, that sort of thing.

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
John Hively I still have a day job, but I guess, I enjoy writing, so doing what you enjoy doing is the best thing about being a writer.
