Sometimes you just have to sit down, play a really good song in the background, and write anyway. Usually I'll continue to try doing this throughout a few songs until eventually I can catch a good groove and can get out what's been on the both the forefront of my mind and the tips of my fingers. You'll usually scratch the first few sentences or paragraphs you started with because they were just a means to get your creative juices flowing and kick your writers block to the curb.
