I have one but no, I want to develop it as YA fiction---see response to 'fictional place to visit'.....someday I will figure out how to write YA fiction.

Panem.
Okay, all through the Covid disruption, I put on the Hunger Games series on TV or audio book in the background when I worked. I have watched them probably 30 times each but never all the way through, ever....I fall asleep, I work on a new idea and 30 minutes or an hour has passed....I now am obsessed with figuring out why I always put on Hunger Games as my audio-visual wallpaper. I do have a huge respect for the author Suzanne Collins, I took my kids to the movies, they loved them, I slept through them as a widowed parent with triplets plus one so exhausted---now total appreciation. I could never write YA fiction---she is clever and the prequel is excellent.

Fitting in writing around running a family----until PR time when it is a full-time 16 hour day ---that is, if you are serious about getting your message out (so make it a good one.)

Write every day.
You can write about what you know---but you don't have to. Your messages and experience can take place in a new universe.

As my late husband playwright/Oscar-nominated film writer Peter Barnes advised every writer who asked that question, you write every day. Fill up one page at least. You may throw it away the next day for something better. But a writer needs to write every day.

My triplets were starting high school so I wanted to get the best information--real facts and stats--about college outcomes and tips on getting into the 'right' colleges.
