Walter Rhein He woke up in the morning. His burial had been the night before.
Walter Rhein I think I would go to Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory and have some delicious hot ice cream for a cold day.
Walter Rhein Pirates in Hell by Janet Morris and company and Mad Shadows II by Joe Bonadonna.
Walter Rhein That's an interesting question. I suppose most books begin as an effort to resolve some sort of confusion about a personal experience. How my dad thinks is a mystery I've never been able to unravel...although I'm not sure I want to walk down that road.
Walter Rhein Lancelot and Gwenevere I suppose. It took me a while to think of one honestly. I guess Frodo and Sam came to mind as well, but not in the romantic sense of couple. L&G are interesting because they manage to represent loyalty and betrayal at the same time.
Walter Rhein I have a Bachelor of Science with a major in English and a minor in Physics. I'm certified to teach both. Because of the Physics minor I received a BS and not a BA.
Walter Rhein Go for a bike ride or run. I don't really believe in writer's block though. I can always write something. Even when I think the work is bad, I can find useful phrases in it a few days later. So just sit down and write. But if you really need a break, take one. It's important to get out of your own head every now and then.
Walter Rhein When you meet random people who come up to you and ask to shake your hand because they were moved by something you wrote. That's a truly earned experience...cannot be bought.
Walter Rhein Have a source of income other than writing. Pushing your work, even when you're with a traditional publisher, is an investment. If you have a story you believe in, you should share it, but the focus should be on sharing the story, not on monetary gain (because there isn't any).
Walter Rhein The sequel to "Reader of Acheron" is a completed manuscript that is awaiting my editor. I am also thinking of putting together a book on experiences in education, both as a student and a teacher. I'm still wrestling with the narrative structure on that one.
Walter Rhein If I don't write something, it doesn't feel like I've had a productive day. It's as simple as that. I can't go to sleep in the evening content without having produced a couple good pages. That being said, I go to bed discontent frequently.
Walter Rhein My most recent book is a collection of the best anecdotes from living in Peru for 10 years. I've been trying to get this book published for a long time, and I've been very satisfied with the reception so far!
