To be honest I think I'm still learning to deal with it!
Generally, if I find I become stuck on a scene or chapter I step away from it for a few days and either write a different scene or plot out a new book/project.
I find the unconscious mind has a way of working through problems in the background and will allow me to go back with a new awesome solution, or tell me that the scene sucks and to start again in a slightly different direction.

I've been interested in space travel and sci fi since the 1970s. Over the last few years there has been a significant increase in the attention manhind has been giving to Mars. It's a question of when, rather than if, we will set foot on the red planet so I thought the time was right to think what may happen on our early missions
