What a brilliant question Grant. And one which is difficult to answer. There are so many personality traits that make this world so interesting.
I am impressed, and inspired by anyone who lives with mental illness, and constantly perseveres with going forward in life.
Compassion/love would have to be on the top of my list.
Simply because, our world would not survive with out it.

I am finishing of book three of the Given trilogy at the moment.
Once that is done, I have big plans on a new series I am basing along my hometown, the Mornington peninsula.

I'd always had an idea in my head, to write about lost kids, coming into their own.
My original idea, many years ago, was to write a story line based on an orphanage....once I started the outline for The Given....it just flowed.
