Mary Detweiler My most recent book is a re-write of my first book, When Therapy Isn't Enough, with sections of my second book, When Religion Isn't Enough, incorporated into it.
Mary Detweiler I am currently working on marketing my new book and getting my book ministry on solid ground financially. I am not working on another manuscript right now.
Mary Detweiler When I come up against writer's block I set my writing aside and focus on something else. I don't try to force myself to write.

One lesson I learned early in my writing journey is that I have to respect and trust the creative process, i.e. the creative juices are either flowing or they’re not. When they’re flowing I need to set aside whatever I’m doing if at all possible and write. When I do, the words pour out of me. If I try to write when the creative juices are not flowing however, it is nothing less than an exercise in futility. It’s like trying to get blood from a stone.
