Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Sue Irwin While playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs, near the end of his career, goalie Jacques Plante received approximately 200 fan letters every day. My husband, Jonathan, was one of the fans who asked him for goaltending advice. When I heard that Jacques had taken the time to respond to Jonathan personally, Jacques became my sports hero, too. That story sparked the idea for my book, Safety Stars.
