Del Quentin Wilber Just write. Even if it's Blah blah blah. I hate writing. Blah Blah. Blah. Eventually, the words start making some sense. Then you edit, revise, rewrite. Repeat. Edit, revise, rewrite. Repeat. That's my process.
Del Quentin Wilber I love dropping into others' lives. It's an amazing experience. One day, I can be an airline pilot, another a detective, another a surgeon. I get to see so much of life and then tell a story about it. Shining a light on a problem that is corrected is one of the greatest feelings in the world.
Del Quentin Wilber I cover the Justice Department for Bloomberg News and get to write about all kinds of cool topics. I just had a long piece run on how China set out to steal the color white from DuPont: http://www.bloomberg.com/features/201...
Del Quentin Wilber I have always been fascinated by police work and wanted to see how homicide detectives do their jobs. I got lucky that the chief of the Prince George's County police force was the son of a Secret Service agent in my first book, "Rawhide Down." We corresponded and then allowed me to trail his detectives for five or six months. I have covered crime and murder for years, but this was one of the most eye-opening and surprising experiences of my professional life.
