I was in England at the time when I started writing "The Melissa Curae Chronicles: A Magical Aspect" at only eleven years old. I enjoy learning about different cultures, reading stories about them, and seeing cultures being incorporated into literature. I had always wanted to be a mermaid, I loved magic, and I loved all the different types of mythology. I was the type of girl that was obsessed with "Percy Jackson", "The Kane Chronicles", and "Harry Potter". So I began writing a book with all the elements I loved showing different ancient and current cultures, magic, prophecies and more! My main character, Melissa Curae, is a mermaid.
I guess you could say that my inspiration was my childhood.

I get excited about ideas I have and I dive into them, exploring different avenues they could take me down. When I find the right path I explore it more and create the story from there. My writing takes the joy is in the journey approach, not always knowing the destination. I don't always know where I am going, I just hope I find it.

The second book of the "Melissa Curae Chronicles"! I am excited to continue to follow the characters that we met in the first book of the trilogy, "A Magical Aspect".

Don't focus too much on the first draft and feeling like you need to make it perfect right now. Allow the first raft to be bad, don't edit as you write. Let the first draft work for you to help you get your ideas down and see the direction you are going.

To be able to create something that is solely mine. Hopefully other people enjoy it, but it is first and foremost for me.

Always keep writing. If I am having writer's block on my story, I keep working on my writing whether it is through writing poetry, a different story, or plotting, etc. Just don't stop writing, keep working on something creative help to keep the creativity flowing.

I would love to go to Narnia. I feel that out of all the book worlds that I have read about in my favorite books Narnia is the least hostile. Yes there are wars but there are also times of peace. I would love to visit Cair Paravel where Edmund, Susan, Peter, and Lucy were crowned. I would also if I could, find Aslan and talk to him. He is one of my favorite characters of all time and it would be great to get any advice he could give me!

I would love to finish the Waterfire Saga series and maybe start some new fantasy and historical fiction I have never read before!
