Hey by any chance is deal me in the last words in the first book sweet evil? cause those are the only words i remember from that book and i looked it up and it seems to be so but i wanted to ask the author

Hi Wendy. I am new to this site and I am trying to find a friend who shares my love of reading and writing. I am currently writing a new book called The Coffee Girl. She owns her own shop and sells a brew called The Dragons Toe. It tastes terrible and all her customers love it. She gives them all helpful advice and my question is, how do women think?

Wendy Higgins Wow, that sounds fun! Unfortunately, though, answering your question is not so simple, lol! I don't really understand my own thought process much of the time. One moment I can be certain of a choice (usually said choice is made in a moment of emotion/compassion), and then afterward I rationalize and doubt and fret. But not every woman is like that. We're all very different. You just have to decide how your particular female character thinks and stick to it. Good luck!

Do you think you'll ever write a M/M romance story?

Wendy Higgins Hi! I'm open to writing anything that hits me, but so far my mind tends to lean toward m/f. My best friend writes m/m if you're looking for any, both YA and NA/adult (Nyrae Dawn/Riley Hart).

Do you have any current plans to write "Remember Me"?

Wendy Higgins Hi Angie! I started Remember Me, and uploaded what I wrote to WattPad, and then I got a MAJOR plot block. I would love to write it, but I just haven't been able to get a working idea. It's been 5 years since See Me, and I'm still praying about the sequel. <3

Where do you find inspiration for all of your characters' names? Do you just randomly think of names or do you have some sort of jar that contains all the names that you want to name to your future characters?

Wendy Higgins Hi Alyssa! I don't have a jar/list or anything like that. Sometimes names are inspired by people I know (Anna was named after my friend Ann, Jay is my son's middle name, and Zae is named after a girl I had in youth group when I was a youth group leader). Many, many of my character names were discovered on "Baby Name Sites." Basically, I google "English girls names" or "Malawi boy names" and then I browse until one of the names strikes me as suitable for that character's personality. As for my bad guys and evil women, lots of those are named after ex-boyfriends of me and my friends (hahahaha, SO not kidding!) or girls that were mean to us. ;)

Do you listen to music or have a playlist whenever you're writing?

Wendy Higgins Hi Alyson! I actually prefer quiet while I'm writing because I'm a bit ADD. Song lyrics distract me. But sometimes I will listen to instrumental soundtracks/film scores.

It's not really a question, I just want to give you props for being the first series (Sweet Evil) since I was in High School I can't seem to put down. I am in love with Annas and Kai's love. What series do you recommend I read next of yours?

Wendy Higgins Hello Bree, I'm so happy you enjoyed the Sweet series! Do you read adult books or just YA? If you read adult, I recommend my Unknown trilogy. Otherwise, for YA, check out The Great Hunt fantasy. <3

Hi Wendy, are there any books that you've read in 2018 that you would strongly recommend? Not only YA but any genre that you really enjoyed. I've found some great books based on your recommendations! Your taste is unquestionable, therefore I would love some more nods in the right direction :)

Wendy Higgins Hi Marlizette! I love finding other readers who enjoy the same types of stories! The books I've recently loved are SKY IN THE DEEP, THE ALICE NETWORK, and MISTRESS OF ROME. All of them are historical (I was on a historical kick this summer, lol).

Wendy Higgins Hello! It's a crossover book, which means it will appeal to both YA and adult audiences. She starts as a teen and then grows into an adult through the story. There will be mature/adult content.

Will you write any more books in the Eurona-verse? Or will we see and read anymore of Aerity and Paxton? I really loved that duology and cherish it sooooo much! Thank you for giving me a set of characters that felt so real to me and giving me a world that I can escape in!

Wendy Higgins Hi Katelyn! I'm so happy you enjoyed the Eurona Duology! I probably won't be writing more in that world since they got their happy ending. I miss them, though! <3

Wendy Higgins OMG, I love this! I've been wondering the same thing. It's nearly impossible to get publishers to take a chance on new PNR/UF. I'm truly hoping there's a turn around in the trends soon! I miss it.
And if your question is serious, you can start with HarperTeen/Epic Reads, Penguin Random House, and Simon & Schuster. :)

Wendy Higgins I'm going through writing/publishing withdrawals, too! Unfortunately I met some roadblocks this past year with trying to contract a new series (because it's VERY hard to sell paranormal/urban fantasy right now). I've got KISS COLLECTOR coming in December (it's YA contemporary romance). And I've got two other series ideas that I'm trying to figure out the best ways to publish. So, there's a possibility for something in the fall, but most likely it won't be until 2019. I'm sorry! Thank you for asking. It means a lot.

First I want to say thank you for all the amazing books you have written and shared with us. So I was wondering since there was a book from Kaidan's point of view, could there be one from McKale's point of view? I think it would be amazing to see more of how the summer kings daughter really affected him and how he felt about Robyn before they shared their feelings and came to love eachother. Thank you :)

I have no plans to write from McKale's point of view, but I've learned to never say never. My hope is to write Cass and Rock's story, but I've had a mental block up for years. Fingers crossed!
