I am still on the search for the 35 letters and up to 20 notebooks which were stolen from Dora Diamant by the Gestapo in Berlin 1933. These letters and notebooks represent the last unknown writings of Franz Kafka. I lost literary treasure.

When I was 19 years old, I learned about Dora Diamant in the German literature class in college. Running to the library after class, I discoveredthat Dora Diamant and Franz Kafka shared one of the world's great love stories, but no one knew anything about her. She disappeared from the public record after cuff his death in 1924. It took me decades to find out what became of her after Kafka's death, but the more I learned about her the less important our relationship became, and the more critical it was to tell her story.
