I wouldn't have minded if I'd won a million dollar lottery, but instead I got diagnosed with a one in a million medical condition called Stiff Persons Syndrome. Even weirder, my younger brother suffers with this extremely rare condition, that doctors say doesn't have a genetic cause. So what did my brother and I have in common that led to both of us to a diagnosis for this progressive, incurable condition? I'm currently working on a book about my experience living with Stiff Person's Syndrome.
