I don't really get writers block. Some days are a bit more difficult to get rolling than others, but I've never really been stuck in a slump. One thing that I've found helps a lot is having my characters converse, it can really open up some great avenues for the adventure to pursue.

I think the best thing about being a writer is when I get a truly good review. One of my books is quite political and someone decided they didn't agree with my politics so they left a one star with no review. But then I got two five star reviews and that made me feel warm and fuzzy all under.

Details... In reading Atlas Shrugged I found it hard to believe Ayn Rand could have written so many words into one story. Then I also considered The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings series realizing that a lot of the draw these works have is the detail that draws a reader into the story itself. In all these examples I noted that conversation between the characters drove as much of story as the narrative.

I'm working on a book I've titled, "The Wasp." I noticed that dark works tend to get a lot of attentions and so I decided to try one that might make Steven King proud. I've reached 90,000 words and it's still far from done so I think I've accomplished a major work. It should be done this month.

I love to write and always have although I can't say that I'm inspired... For me, it is a discipline and I have to sit myself down and cause it to happen. Once I'm writing, It is a pleasure and I truly enjoy it, but let's face it, It's a job and no matter how much I enjoy it, I have to treat it as such. I'd much rather be dancing, but I'm at the age where dancing may be beyond my reach.

It was on a whim to write something dark. I noticed that books on dark subjects get a lot of attention and I thought I'd delve into something I hadn't done before. I like trying new avenues and my up coming book, "The Wasp", gave me a chance to expand and explore. It's also my longest book so far as it gave me several different directions in which to involve the reader.
