Hi Suzanne, thank you for your messages! The group is still running, although things have slowed down. I plan to clean up the discussion threads again and ask some new questions. Do you have suggestions for ways the group might serve your needs? What is the name of the Australian book you mention?

Thank you for writing the petition and for asking the question about how we can resolve this issue. I completely agree with you!

Hello MacAnthony. I'm sorry I did not see your question before. If you are still interested in reading my books, you can either get the Kindle version of Love Changes Things Even in the World of Politics on Amazon, or you can order the books directly from me. You can email me at aplacetobe1@gmail.com if you are interested in the latter. Thank you for your interest! Caroline

Congratulations on publishing your book, Joseph. It's a great accomplishment. You can post the information about your free book on the Love & Social Change discussion thread called "Books and blogs by Group Members." I am unable to read and comment on all the books written by our group's members but I encourage you to invite others in the group who are interested. All the best to you, Caroline

Hello, Agnes, Welcome to the Love & Social Change discussion group. You are welcome to introduce yourself and your book in the discussion thread called "Introductions." It's the first thread on the home page. You can write as much as you like. You'll get an idea about what seems right by seeing what others have written there. Congratulations on your book!

Hello, Danielle. Thank you for your question. I did look your book up on Amazon, but did not learn much about the book there. Is this primarily a self-help book? Best of luck with finding the perfect readers for your book!

You can see my answer to the question below! I don't claim to have the best answers about marketing, but there are many people who do. There are websites that focus on just this topic. All the best to you!

It'a a big question, Winner, a question that most writers have. I don't claim to have the best answers. Look for groups or individuals with similar interests and let them know about your book. I applaud your conducting meditation camps and spreading the teachings of the Vedas. All the best to you.

I´ve just finished "All the Light You Cannot See" and "The Industry of Souls," and loved them both! I´m reading "A Tale for the Time Being" right now. For me, it´s a very interesting story from the perspective of a Japanese adolescent that deals with family issues of despair, suicide, and redemption. Living in Mexico, I look forward to reading "Norte," and also Alice Hoffman´s "Red Garden" this summer.

Hello, Francis. Thank you for your question and for writing your inspiring story. Yours is an important story, one that will hopefully inspire others to help young people living in poverty and difficult circumstances. For the bookshelf, I am looking for stories where people took action in the world by bringing love to social settings. For example, in the last book we read, the boy from Somalia later helped co-found an organization that worked to unite "lost boys" in the US with their mothers in Somalia. I'm looking for efforts that create positive social change that has affected groups of people. I will think about your book, though, and see if there is a place on the Love & Social Change home page to highlight stories similar to yours. All the best to you!

By living it first! I wrote a memoir about my personal experience of taking love and kindness into the halls of Congress.

There is so much advice available for aspiring writers. I encourage you to sample this advice and find what inspires and works for you! The answer to this question will depend on where you are in the writing process. Writers need training, just as brain surgeons do. So that's #1--Learn and develop your skills. #2--Read good literature and bad literature, to know the difference and see what works. But read, read, read. #3--Practice, practice, practice. I love the practice of daily writing as an exercise. Three pages a day, as in The Artist's Way, or timed writing, as suggested by Natalie Goldberg. All of this is "free writing," without editing or judging what you write. Goldberg has a great list of guidelines for how to do free writing.

Hello Mitchell. The kind of books I'm seeking for our bookshelf are books where the author or another person took lessons learned about love, often from their personal lives, into social change settings. Let me know if your book qualifies. Congratulations on your book, by the way. All the best to you.

Hi Eric. The Isle of Is: A Guide to Awakening was begun in land-locked Nashville, Tennessee, USA. I set it aside when my husband and I moved to Fiji. Nine months later, I woke up in the middle of the night and said, "The Isle of Is? That's where we are!"
Our life in Fiji ended up affecting the book a lot, especially the sense of communicating with all of nature. Some of the stories in the book come directly from that experience. Thank you for your question!

Hi Shirley! Yes, there is. It's available on Amazon. Thank you for asking.

Hello David, I'm sorry I did not see your question until now. It is fine to add a link to your book on the discussion thread, "Books & Blogs by Group Members." In that discussion, you are welcome to share whatever you'd like for others to know about your book. Good luck with the book! All the best, Caroline

Hello again, Domenic. I'm not the best person to answer this question. The love we talk about in this group is not romantic love. It's unconditional love that does not depend on the other person loving us back. It is love that is offered to all people, all beings.
Caroline Cottom
Hi Dominic. Thank you for your question. Are you writing a book?
