K.A. Jordan I leave my laptop and go do something else for awhile. However long it takes. These days I spin a lot of yarn from my alpaca fleeces. It gets me into a different kind of mindset.

K.A. Jordan Polish your manuscript as best as you can, then get a couple beta readers or an editor to read for problems.

Don't say anything back to them, don't defend or explain. Just thank them. If they hurt your feelings, get over it as quickly as you can, then look to see how valid their feedback is. Tweak the work according to what you see as valid feedback.

Remember, this book isn't you it's Your Work. Your Intellectual Property. You wrote it, you own it. You can lease it out a hundred times, a hundred ways, but never Ever sell all your rights for length of copyright.
K.A. Jordan I've always loved horses, since I was a little bitty kid. I've always thought that horses would make surviving the Zombie Apocalypse a lot easier, because horses have such a keen sense of smell. When the horse was eaten on 'The Walking Dead' it didn't even lash out at the Zombies. I thought that was just WRONG. So I wrote 'The Emissary' in order to write realistic horses. The Spanish mustangs kick, bite, rear up and lash out at the muerto instead of falling over and dying. I think horsewomen will enjoy this series.
