Take a step back, breathe, let it rest. Work on something else. Read something. But I don't look at the story until something comes to mind. Sometimes this happens while listening to my curated playlists. Other times it will come at random.

So the idea for A Thief's Bargain has been an ongoing thing ever since I was in college. I don't remember the assignment, but we were asked to write a short mysterious story and from there the idea just kind of grew. It wasn't until I began teaching and bouncing ideas off my students that the entire plot line was formulated. I know exactly how each book will end now and how the entire series will wrap up.

I have always been an avid reader, but the thought of others reading my ideas, loving them, writing fanfiction or drawing fanart, has always inspired me. I want for readers to love my books so much that inspires them to write the way my favorites inspired me.

I am currently working on book two of The Court of Ashes series and two romances, both age gap, one Christmas themed.

Just do it. Don't let the imposter syndrome stand in your way. Don't let anyone tell you that you can't. You may have to go through many, many drafts in order to make the book what you want, but it is all worth it at the end.
