Felice Cohen The hours. Kidding. But seriously, you're in charge of your writing schedule. And while that at times is great, it's a huge responsibility: you don't write, the work doesn't get done. I also love being a writer because I have the ability to express myself. Sometimes it's easier for me to write down what I'm thinking as opposed to saying it out loud.
Felice Cohen I'm currently working on a personal memoir. It's a coming of age story about falling in love with the wrong person and how that forbidden affair shaped the rest of my life.
Felice Cohen I get inspired by experiences, by life stories. My books are personal, the first one about my grandfather's experience in the Holocaust, my second about my experience living in a tiny apartment. My blogs are about telling my personal stories about how I'm able to live large in any size, meaning to spend more time doing what I love.
Felice Cohen The idea for "90 Lessons for Living Large in 90 Square Feet (...or more)" was born after the YouTube video of me living in a 90-square-foot NYC studio went viral and people from around the world emailed me, asking for advice on decluttering, downsizing and organizing, as well as telling me how hearing what I said about "living large" in a small place motivated them to get rid of stuff.
Felice Cohen Write. Write on weekends and evenings or whenever you can find the time. Write because you have something to say or because you want to share a story. Even if you think no one will like it, keep writing.
