Sandra Ramsey You work when you want. No boss yelling at you to get busy, if you're an indie writer.

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

Sandra Ramsey Grow a thick skin. If you expect everyone to like your work, you're bound to be disappointed. I don't expect people to like what I wrote, but if they don't, I expect they have the guts to tell me why they gave a crappy one star review. LOL. One stars are good for the soul and one without words is meaningless.

What are you currently working on?

Sandra Ramsey I have a series started. It involves a retired team of Army Special Forces trying to live their lives. Spoiler--They are very special. All are alpha shifters searching for their life mates. In doing so, they are Always A Hero. Croix is up first. He's a bear shifter. Wowzie. Look for it middle of 2024.

How do you get inspired to write?

Sandra Ramsey I like to keep my mind active. After teaching for 32 years, I needed an intellectual outlet and now allow it to fuel my creativity.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?

Sandra Ramsey Dire Needs was created to accommodate my science background. I love all things biology and the evil scientist used genetics as the basis of his research. Of course, I made up the gene he was looking for, but in truth, there are so many traits we know nothing about. Why not shifter longevity.
