It varies constantly because I write for magazines as well. I just completed the Don Vesco story for Classic Racer (UK), Inside Brabham-BMW (1981-87) with Herbie Blash for BMW Roundel, and am working on the Kenny Roberts Jr. story.

In my case, getting answers to questions I've long had about specific vehicles and teams, directly from those involved. It has also been a pleasure getting to know some remarkably gifted people in the author and indie publishing arenas.

There were a number of inquiries about doing a sequel to Making it FASTER. I had spent much of my lifetime around Indianapolis and Formula 1 racing (since 1967), so I thought that telling stories from inside the teams across the past 5 or 6 decades would be a most appropriate subject. It is not just a historical document, as I brought it up through current technology with help from current F1 and Indycar engineers.
