J. Leonard Costner I write from a visual perspective. As an artist, I need to imagine and see a story before I start to create it. Once I can see the picture, I try to paint it, in this case, with words as best as possible. This allows me to tap into a flow state, where I am at that point, attempting to communicate what is already completed in my mind. I won't ever write just to write. I have to feel it.
