The story for WELCOME TO DAHMERVILLE came out of the combination of several factors -- moving a lot when I was young and always being the awkward new kid in school, being too shy to make new friends, and feeling out of my element, crossed with my love of mysteries, and my fascination with serial killer pathology. I wanted to create a story that had a thousand pieces of me within the pages. Everything from my nostalgia for the 80's and 90's, to the little details that make me laugh, to the things that terrify me and conceptualizing the day dream of being the only one who sees what's going on around you and having the bravery to follow your sense of adventure and see what happens next.
