Yvette Bowlin The best thing about being a writer is sharing your message with the world. Going beyond the few people you can serve on an in-person basis, and sharing your life's discoveries and creative talent with people across the globe, for generations to come. It's a chance to have your words live on.
Yvette Bowlin Interesting question because I am used to only writing when inspired, however, when writing the book THE DECLUTTER CODE, I taught myself to create blocks of time in my schedule to write everyday--inspired or not. This block of time forced me into "inspired" writing. Just starting to write is key! Sitting down and putting pen to paper (fingertips to keypad). The inspiration will come.

As I got going each morning, I reminded myself why I was writing this book and who I was writing it for--and that was all the inspiration I needed to let the words flow. I imagined myself talking to *one* person and making sure they really understood the point before moving onto the next. This allowed me to really embody the message and keep it simple--which I think is the strongest attribute of this book! Inspired (in the spirit) writing is simple! The truth is simple.
Yvette Bowlin I'm working on an accompanying course for The Declutter Code book. It is an online course that goes into more depth about the mind, and the how-to of the 10 steps. This will be made available to all those interested in going deeper into their minds and clearing the clutter from the inside out--even if they haven't read the book. I'm excited to reach more people with guidance and coaching, more than I can do one on one through this program (launching April 2016).
Yvette Bowlin Just start! Start writing immediately, everyday, for at least 15 minutes. Aim to brain dump all your thoughts and ideas without the inner critic stopping to correct spelling, facts and other nonessentials in the first draft. Let your mind free to release all that it feels is appropriate for this "story." The stream of consciousness writing is the best way to get out inspired thought--which makes for GREAT books.
