Sorry for just now answering this question. Apparently I missed it but it was not intentional. Book three (The Demon Collector) was published late fall 2017. The fourth book is almost complete and should be out in the March-May time frame.
Good question about his ex and ex best friend. The only thing I can say for sure is they are not in the fourth book (at this point anyway, but never say never). As for the future... even I'm not sure.
