Lynn Yvonne Moon Honestly, I would have to answer Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Since it's renovation after the last confrontation with Voldemort, I'd like to see how it has changed. What would I do there? Apply to become a professor, what else?
Lynn Yvonne Moon My favorite couple is Mr. and Mrs. Mike Flannigan from the novel "Mrs. Mike" - first published in 1947 by Coward-McCann. The authors were Benedict and Nancy Freedman.

The novel follows the life of Katherine Mary Flannigan. A young woman who falls in love with and marries a handsome sergeant with the Canadian Mounted Police. Her trials are heart wrenching and although I read the novel in my twenties, I’ve never forgotten what this couple endured. The couple showed an ever-lasting love and devotion that lasted through sufferings that would rip apart most marriages of today.

I still recommend this book to people today. It is a great read.
Lynn Yvonne Moon The start of any novel should grab your reader's interest immediately. We cannot start off a story slow. I can't tell you how many manuscripts I've read and the author says, "Don't worry, it gets better." But most readers and agents will toss a book if it doesn't get them in the first couple of pages. In my first novel, Maddie is standing in front of a casket trying to accept her husband's death. Her little son is her only stability now. Wow, why did he die. What happened. In my second, a mother is watching TV New alerts about kidnapped children and babies! Wow, why so many kidnappings? In book 3, a Professor gets a frantic call from her brother that their mother just died. We need to begin with something that makes the reader want to know more. Make them beg for more. In my new YA series I start out with the young girl staring in a mirror asking herself about life and trying to accept her move to another state. How will she cope without her mother? We only have about 500 words to hook someone. Chose those words wisely. Good luck. Lynn
Lynn Yvonne Moon I am lucky. I've yet to experience writers block. My problem is that my stories won't leave me alone until I get them on paper. So my head is full of ideas and conversations. It's crazy!
Lynn Yvonne Moon Meeting my readers and taking to them. I love meeting my readers. I will be at Prince Books in Norfolk, VA on January 24th. If any of you are near me, please come in and say hi.
Lynn Yvonne Moon Read, write, and read more and write more. You've got to write for you first, others will like it if you do. Working with publishers is a lot of work. Writing is a full time job. If you really want to become sucessful, you've got to keep pushing yourself. And don't forget to do your research. Writing has to have realistic stuff in them, we can't make up everything. The science behind the genetic splicing in my latest novel is all real.
Lynn Yvonne Moon I am currently working on my new YA series. I'm very excited about it. Book 1, Reflection is scheduled for release on June 1, 2015. There is five books in the series. I'm writing book three now. I also have a children's picture book that is with the artist. I hope to see that one in print in the fall of next year. Book 5 of the Agency is in the works with even more exciting stuff. So, stick around....
Lynn Yvonne Moon I started writing after my mother's passing. I didn't have her to talk to anymore so I wrote instead. Not sure if the novels fill that void, but it's something.
Lynn Yvonne Moon They say to write about what you fear, well to me, being accused of something you didn't do is one of mine. Imagine being accused of murdering your whole family. Then there is the issue with genetic splicing of the human DNA. The ramifications are never ending. It could be the end of us...
