There's a reason for your writer's block. Maybe you're having a life crisis of some kind and maybe you're like me and can't write when you're upset or worrying. If you're in the middle of a book or story and you're stuck, change something. It probably means there's something wrong with the plot (change the conflict, add conflict?), characters (change the sex, POV), setting (change it). Bring a minor character to fore and make him/her a major one. Think of the "what if" questions.
