Laura Hunsaker In elementary school, my best friend and I used to sit down at lunch recess and write stories. I knew that I always wanted to write stories after that year.
Laura Hunsaker I’m binging Cynthia Eden’s Bad Things series.
Laura Hunsaker I have a ring my aunt bought me when I was 7. After she died, I lost it. Several times and sometimes for long periods of time. And not like, lost in my house...lost in a public pool and found it months later diving for rings. Or lost in a school bus and found it 3 days later in a different seat than I had been in before. I’d be really curious to see what happened to it during those times it was missing.
Laura Hunsaker Hi there! I’m not sure which format you have, but it’s in chapter 44, and on my Nook book it shows page 664/673 on my phone. In the paper back it is page 224.
Hope that helps!
Laura Hunsaker When I was on vacation last summer, we stayed in this small town called Chester in California, and while we were hiking by the lake, I kept thinking about all the "what ifs" that could happen up there. Voila! An idea for Dark Past, a Romantic Suspense, was born.
Laura Hunsaker She was woken by the gentle, rhythmic snoring of her husband. It was then she realized her husband had been dead for 2 years.
Laura Hunsaker There's no "right way" to write. You do what works for you. I've heard some authors treat writing like a 9-5, and hey, if that works for them, great! It definitely doesn't work for me. Even if you only get a few words down, it's more than you had before. Writing is very personal in that sense, that it's rare any two writers will have the same way of getting words on the page.
Laura Hunsaker Right now I'm working both on my own for my Highlanders, and with a co-writer on a hockey series. Look for our penname Kenzie MacLir.
Laura Hunsaker The best thing about being a writer is that I can give a voice to all the characters who are floating about in my head. Since I have small children, I usually write at night, and while I do miss sleeping, I love that I can create such a unique world. Even if it means I have to drink a pot of coffee to keep going ;)
