Any more books in the mix----what next? I have read both of your books---The Handmaids daughter my favorite!
Barbara Mutch I am busy researching and writing a new book, Judith, so I am a year or 2 away from publication. I hope you can be patient!!
In the meantime, please spread the word about The Housemaid's Daughter and The Girl from Simon's Bay!
Kind regards,
Barbara

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Barbara Mutch I think I'd like to go to Daphne du Maurier's Manderley... and watch the goings-on with Rebecca, Max and the evil Mrs Danvers!

What mystery in your own life could be a plot for a book?
Barbara Mutch It already has been! It's in my latest novel, The Girl from Simon's Bay.
But I can't tell you what it is because that would give the mystery away! Let me just say that while researching the book I discovered something about the setting which continues to impact my life... (and which the canny reader might spot, or maybe not!)

I have just finished --" the girl from Simon's Bay"-----although not as good as "the Housemaids Daughter"----I enjoyed it. It depicted Apartheid and just how terrible this was , even for the white people. Similar to the Trail of Tears in the US, when the Indians were deported from their lands. The love story within the book could not be brought to fruition, but hopefully through the children, unification is possible?
Barbara Mutch I think so, yes. The next generation will find a sense of closure that was denied to David and Louise...
Kind regards
Barbara
