From the legends I came across when studying medieval English at University. I was drawn to the character of Vortigern, the 'High King' of my current series. The legends portray him as a villain, but when I started researching the history, another side of the story emerged. I love looking at history from unfamiliar angles, and knew I had found something worth writing about.
