Debbie McGowan Hi, Nancy. Thanks for the question. :)

I took a peek at when you read Champagne, and it hasn't been revised significantly since then. There WILL be a sequel; I hoped it would be this year, but it's looking doubtful. All being well, it will be out in 2017.
Debbie McGowan Greetings, Mr. Stewart. And OMG! I'd totally forgotten I'd left those men in the shed! :o I bet they've been...busy. Sorting the spades, and stuff.
Debbie McGowan Ooh! A question! Thank you, Claire. :)

Hm. Well, I don't usually make resolutions, but...should I?

I guess the promise I've made myself kind of counts as a resolution, and that's to work less on non-writing stuff.

And I do plan to write three stories for Hiding Behind The Couch, one of which was requested by my lovely friend/editor, one I started in 2014 and put on hold, and then there's season seven. Otherwise, who knows what ideas might come my way?
Debbie McGowan Your question came up twice, which is lucky, because I forgot to say thank you for reading my stories, and also for taking the time to review them. :) Have a wonderful Christmas (if you celebrate) and also a wonderful trip to London (and Norwich, if you decide to visit).
Debbie McGowan Hi Kevin. If you like historic cities, I'd say Norwich is definitely worth a visit. I live in the north-west of England, so my experience of Norwich is by and large as a tourist (plus a lot of research and my mother-in-law lives in Norfolk), but the city centre has so many beautiful buildings, including the cathedral and castle. It's certainly a unique city in terms of architecture. Around the city, you will find miles of English countryside - not quite so picturesque in December-January as it is in spring and summer, but lovely nonetheless.
Debbie McGowan Hey Mark,

I'm guessing you mean No Dice? If so, I'm hoping to get it back out sometime in 2016. It was in need of a good tidy-up, so now I've just got to find the time to do it! :)
Debbie McGowan Very much so. Indeed, so strong, my daughter brought me a bottle home from the pub only two nights ago. She said someone put it in her bag. Obviously the locals are aware of its importance, too. We may need to stockpile.
Debbie McGowan Quite a few! Although only the once where I was so inconsolable I couldn't see to type and I had to ask the hub for a hug (I was sobbing - I don't do sobbing, or apparently I do). The events in the story at that particular point were based on the experiences of Peter Wildeblood, and what he went through in 1954-5. It pretty much finished me off for the rest of the book - luckily it was near the end, and my keyboard turned out to be water-resistant. :)
Debbie McGowan Thanks for asking, Amy. Yes, I am hoping to get audiobooks out soon. I have a wonderful voice actor who is happy to record them (I'm fussy ;) ), just as soon as we can arrange recording facilities. I'll be sure to announce it just as soon as any are available.
Debbie McGowan Ooh, sneaky! :D OK, so thank you. What else can I say to that? I owe my awesomeness to my fine co-authors.
Debbie McGowan Interestingly, I do, just as frequently as I please. I even have a writer's spitoon next to my typewriter...
Debbie McGowan Hi Amy. What a great question! And my first one, so you get to set the standard. :)

For me, the inspiration wasn't consciously realised. I honestly can't recall exactly when I started writing, other than, around the age of 14, twisting essay titles so I could write my own short stories, much to the chagrin of my English teacher. But I think, once I started doing it, I discovered how liberating it was - yes, THIS gives me a way to purge myself of all the daydreaming and fantasies and stuff I want to share with other people, but if I say it out loud they think I'm mad, or I'm lying...which, of course, much of fiction is just that. Lies. But really elaborate, well-thought-out lies.

So I guess my inspiration was that: to share the stories that were already in there.
