I just wait. I don't force it. I'll listen to music, look at art, read another book. Those are usually the things that gets me goin again.

For me, it's a release. It allows me to escape the troubles of life for moments at a time. I don't have to drink or get high to escape, I simply write and let my mind take me to the imaginary dreamworlds I create in my novels. Now, it's not a world with fairies and dragons and all that, but it's a world where I create and control everything. For moments at a time, I get to play God. It's definitely a release from the stress that life sometimes brings.

Consistency, persistency and commitment. No matter what, you have to keep writing. Don't let anything detour you at all, if possible, and if it does, always come back to it.

I have a plethora of spoken-word pieces I have written and performed throughout the United States. In addition, I have written two stage plays and I am currently writing my next novel. I have 26 chapters done and I believe it may go to 31. It's not based on a true story like my first novel, so my imagination is completely free to run wild with this one! Im excited about it. I believe it will garner a new audience as well

It was just something that was always in me. I wrote when I was younger, but I didn't realize it was anything more than a pass time until i got to college. That is where my love for writing grew.

It originally started as an entry in a short story contest. I missed the deadline, but I just kept writing. Years later, it turned into a 29-chapter novel!
