The memoir was my first book-length work. I used to regale people I knew (music fans) with many anecdotes about meeting and hanging out with music legends like The Who, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, and James Taylor. "Man," they would say, "you should write a book." And I did.

I always had a penchant for writing. At school, I was always writing. I was a songwriter and rock musician for 20 years (read my memoir), so, when my voice went south, I got a job writing advertising copy at an ad agency. I soon realized that I wanted to use my talent for more than touting the virtues of some product, so I quit the agency and started writing my memoir.
