Do you use a Ghostwriter for any of your novels?
Tonya Kappes No. My novels are 50k words and I write daily. I write at least 3-5k words a day. I'm an empty-nester mom of four children and have the time to write.

I love your books. I'm working my way through the Killer Coffee books right now and have read all of the Camper & Criminals books (so far!) and I wondered if you ever have people do ARC for proofing and reviewing? I find some inconsistencies in your books sometimes and I'd love to have the ability to help out before they're published. I love all the characters I've met so far & plan on working my way thru all books!

Do you think one is ever "too old" to attempt publishing? Would you advise self publishing for someone say in their late 60's into their 70's?
Tonya Kappes NO!!! Two bachelor degrees, four children, and two different jobs later.....and in my late 30's, I wrote my first book. You're only as old as you feel. Age is only a number. Like retirement isn't a number of years, it's the number you need in the account to live....
If you want to write a book, follow your passion. Nothing should stop that.

Tonya, I love your books. How do you come up with the plots for them?
Tonya Kappes Oh gosh!! Everywhere. No joke. The other day I was standing in line a the Dollar Tree, I might've been eaves dropping, though I'd never admit it...and it just so happens that I got a really GREAT murder plot from a story this lady was telling in line....See~everywhere!

Tonya Kappes Write every day. When that novel is complete, let it go and write another one.

When you write do you need complete quiet? What I mean it say is do you play music for inspiration let's say when your writing?
Tonya Kappes Hey girl!! I have to have some sort of white noise on. I usually have on my IHeart Radio on the computer turned down low but enough for white noise.

I am currently reading "Scene of the Grind" for a Kings River Life review, but when updating my Goodreads, I found an odd, possibly incorrect, synopses. Amazon was accurate in their synopses, but Goodreads says... "...Roxie is moving on with her life until she finds that one of her best customers, Lilia Walters, was found dead..." Is it my confusion?
