I "heard" the words "sacred geometry" and started investigating what that was, which opened the doors to an alchemical priestess class and mystery school, which were all about self-discovery and how we're all connected. That eventually led me to tying in Hebrew, math, and aspects of the ocean.

Write. Sometimes the obvious answer is the most profound. Practice improves any skill, and good writing takes practice. The more you write the better you get. I also like trying to imitate favorite authors. Nora Roberts is one of my favorite romance writers and I'm in awe of her ability to capture so much in one or two words. Years ago I tried to imitate that style, and now you'll see that in my own writing. I've had people ask me if imitating will get them in trouble, as if they might be plagiarizing someone else, but if you're using your own words, then you're just developing your own style.

The thrill of writing. When my muse is talking and the inspiration is flowing, there's nothing better than being on the receiving end and having a story stream out of me. It's fun, it's exciting, and I'm hooked.

When the weather is cooperative, I take walks. Anything that's somewhat meditative and clears your mind will work - cooking, arts and crafts, even reading. But walks are my favorite. I get to view the scenery, give my body some exercise, and clear my mind so I can allow in new thoughts and inspiration.
