You write a lot about dinosaurs and zombies. Do you have a preference?

Dane Hatchell Zombies have a special place in my heart. The horror of society collapsing by the walking dead pushes human conflict to the highest degree. Of late, though, I've gone in a different direction with action/adventure tales involving dinosaurs. Dinosaurs come in all shapes and sizes. It's always fun to match humans and dinosaurs in winner-take-all battles. :)

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Dane Hatchell Always be thinking of plot lines. Wait for characters in the story to emerge in your mind. Wait for the characters to tell you what to write down.
