What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Don A. Martinez Writing is like any activity, whether it be sports or music: it requires practice on a regular basis. Keep a blog, write a journal, contribute to discussion boards, whatever it takes, just make sure you're practicing your craft as often as possible.

Don A. Martinez I'm stepping out of my writing comfort zone and trying my hand at children's space opera.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Don A. Martinez The most recent book is the conclusion of my series, and its genesis comes from my desire to resolve all of the dangling storylines that were presented in the previous two New Empire books.
