Maria V. Snyder You're not the only one who loves Reema. If I write more, Reema and Fisk will certainly be a part of the new stories! Along with Zethan, Zohav, Heli, and Teegan. :)

Maria V. Snyder Hello Tempest! I have been noodling ideas for a next generation of Study books, but haven't committed to writing them. I'm working on a new fantasy series that I hope my readers will love just as much!

I love the covers for Valek's Adventures, any chance you'll be releasing similar covers for the original Study series?
Maria V. Snyder Hi Riley! Sorry for the delay - I've been traveling. I'm happy to hear you love the covers for Valek's books - I helped design them. The original Study books were published by Harlequin and I doubt they'll re-release the books with new covers that match. I published Valek's stories independently.

Hello! Sorry this isn't a question (?), I just wanted to say that your books mean so much to me, and I've loved them since I was a little girl. Yelena was the first protagonist that really spoke to me; her grit and determination was both inspiring and refreshing. I'm in love with the way you write, the dimension you put into your characters, and your dedication to the craft. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

As an author and an artist, decent and abysmal respectively, I loathe AI. Am I wrong for vehemently avoiding books with AI covers? I assume if the author lacks the integrity to use real art for the cover, they may very well use AI assistance in their writing.
Maria V. Snyder Hello Josh! I hate generative AI as well and would never use it for my writing or cover art. How you decide to choose books to read, is your prerogative.

Hi! I just finished Dawn Study and would really love to read the three short stories that come after it, Diaper, Wedding and After study but they are no longer on your website and I can't find them anywhere? I was wondering if there is someplace I could read them because I am so curious to see the ending of Valek and Yelena's story! Thank you so much for the amazing books though!

Maria V. Snyder Hello Christine! Sorry for the delay - I’ve been on a book tour in the UK! I’m so glad you enjoyed my books! Do you know about the new companion novels to Poison Study and Magic Study? The Study of Poisons and The Study of Magic? They are from Valek’s POV and have been quite fun and a big challenge to write. I’m planning on releasing The Study of Fire on November 26 to complete the companion trilogy. :D But as for new books with Yelena and Valek, I don’t have any plans right now.

I loved Poison Study and read multiple times. I went to the library to look up other books you wrote. I found out it's series and the other books are in stock. I WANT THE WHOLE SERIES!!Im on fixed income to buy them all at once. I found it once they were hard copies couldn't buy them. Really want to find out what happens Yelena and Valek?? Yelena being a soulfinder?

It can be very confusing, so I put together an author recommended reading order on my website: www.MariaVSnyder.com/books.php If your library doesn’t have a copy, they can usually get them via inter-library loan. And you can read the ebooks on the library’s Libby App for free as well.

I love the new “Study” audiobooks with Kristin Atherton as the reader/narrator. As someone with sight limitations, I’m so glad to be able to revisit all your wonderful books in audiobook format. Kristin Atherton is far and above the best actress who brings these books to life. Please, please, continue with the Ixia books with Ms Atherton as the reader!! Will there be more after the first three? Thank you so much!

Hi! I absolutely adore the Chronicles of Ixia and I was so excited to see you published a book of Valek's POV! Where in the reading order would you recommend reading it? I'm not sure if it just covers the first book or more?

You can read The Study of Poisons first - or right after Poison Study - or do a tandem read with Poison Study - it only covers the events in Poison Study so no need to worry about spoilers for the next books.

Several of your Ixia/Sitia books reference the Northern Ice Sheet and what (or who) may lie beyond it. Do you have plans to explore beyond the known boundaries of Ixia (or Sitia)?
Maria V. Snyder Hi Kelly! The Northern Ice sheet is the farthest north in that world, so there's nothing beyond it - no one would live there - it's too cold. I don't have plans to expand/explore, however I might write more about the next generation of characters and they might decide to explore. I don't plot out my stories and I discover the plots as I write. It's more fun that way! :D
