Adriano Barone "Inspiration" doesn't exist.
You write if you live and you immerse yourself in the world you're living, analysing it constantly, noticing things and relation between things other people don't, and when one or more of these discoveries are clearly relevant to many people, stories form in your brain.
Writing comes from a way at looking at reality and life, not from inspiration.
Adriano Barone - Write #2pagesaday.
- Build your story structure and outline diligently, don't improvise.
- Always do 3 things at once: sell your already written material, write your current project (#2pagesaday), search material for your next project(s).
- Ass+Chair=script/book.
Adriano Barone There's nothing like "writer's block". That's when a writer is not writing, so (s)he's not a writer, right?
Writer's block is a name to designate the fact you don't know what to write. It means there's something wrong: character, lame plot points, a story that is not a function of the character itself.
Get back to your synopsis and notes, find what doesn't work, fix it and get back to work.
If it's exhaustion from having written for too long a single project, always keep a secondary "B" project you can turn to to change mood.
Stick to the #2pagesaday rule. If you write a little, every day, you have a rythm that won't break even when you're under pressure.
