Sometimes I "soldier on" and make myself write something, and the block breaks. Or I concentrate on something else, like backpacking or sharing time with my family, or participating in my writer's group. Inspiration usually comes from these things and inspiration most always prompts me to write.

Write what comes from your heart--that which moves you and inspires you. Express in prose or verse, those things you just have to say. That process is its own reward and is what makes you a writer. Your work will find its readers, and when it does, you're an author.

A post apocalyptic novel called, Power of the Ancients. It's the first of (at least) a trilogy and is my homage to the hero's journey, and my take on humanity's future. I hope to have it available by the end of the year.

In looking over the book reviews I've done, I noticed they fell into pretty obvious themes. Since I've gotten a lot of response from the reviews I've done over the years, I decided to make a compilation of them and add commentary on the themes they represent. The result was Ray-views Volume 1.
