Calling your own hours, which is also the worst thing because often I climb out of bed in the middle of night because I have an idea that must be committed to print.

Silence. Working in the garden. Cooking. Listening to my imaginary friends that tell me their stories. I also have a circle of readers and friends that share their incredible stories with me, be it a name or a scene or an entire book.
