Oh, thank you, Eliza! I read your review the other day. You've no idea how such praise motivates me. Imogene and her little saga is my favorite series that I've written so far. She is just so true as a character. Well, Jack the Ripper isn't on my radar but a story about Imogene's three brothers is... We shall see!!!!!!

Surprisingly, I get my ideas as elevator pitches. For instance, what does a woman do when the love of her life loves serving in His Majesty more than he seems to love her? I'm writing this book now. Or what if a destitute woman becomes the most sought after courtesan in London but she wants to retire? This book became Another Lover. The first and only book I had the last line of the story first, and it is actually one of my favorite last lines... Not, going to tell you. You have to read to the book!

I always feel like this is a trick question. Choose some place interesting and you're likely to be accused of witchcraft or dead within a day of arrival. Westeros is def. out even though it is a fantastic book world. Outlander...not so much. We've watched all the bad things that have happened to Claire.
I'm going to take it easy and say Austen's Regency England especially Sense and Sensibility. Not so many lords and ladies but a time where I the people seem mostly honorable. If there was a relative safe time during the Medieval period, where I could attend jousting tournaments, I'd do that too. Can't think of a book world to tie that time though.

I went to Panera Bread. They were out of shortbread cookies!

HI Deborah! Thank you so much for your kind words! I know that you know how wonderful and motivating such words can be! I saw a bump on the Imogene freebie this past week so it must have been from that group, 'cause I couldn't figure out what caused it. Many, many thanks! E.

Oh, Judy! You made my day. I'm out on a work trip this week, just setting down to supper alone, wishing I could be writing full time and I see this. Sorry that I didn't see this right away :) Yes, soon. I've got five, yes five, nearing completion! The two about ready are Book Three in The Infamous Forresters - a full length novel, not a novella like the others in the series. It is hot. And Book Two in the Curse of the Weatherby Ball series. This is a sweeter romance with just one or two sex scenes. LOL. Maybe that's why it's going slow. I need to spice it up!! I have two more finishing up in the Wicked Affairs series, books 7 and 8. Audrina and Grey Pacquin (who currently live in Paris -hopefully you remember then from Wicked Indiscretions. Their book is titled Wicked Shades. And a couple mentioned in the series Emberline and her childhood friend the Earl of Dahlingford. Dahl for short. Not titled yet. I thought I'd have both of them done this year but work travel is wiping me out. Many thanks Judy! E.

Hi Linda! Thank you so much. I love that you love my work. :)
Yes, I am! The working title is Wicked Shades. I'm about 5,000 words into it and it will be released sometime next year. I am trying to write Audrina with a bi-polar personality. I am happy how it is progressing - it will be touching without being depressing. :) Here's the un-edited first line and you are the first to read it!
"Gray Pacquin, Baron Notting, believed he had married one of the most beautiful, vivacious and intelligent women of his acquaintance, except on the days when she was an insane virago. He stared as she paced in the library, waiting for the tempest she was about to unleash."
Many thanks for asking. AND I really appreciate your enjoyment of my books! Eliza

The best thing is telling the story, not the writing itself. I love getting to know the characters and coming back to visit them every day as the story develops. Rarely do I know the middle and end of the story so it's a surprise to me how things lay out. The next best thing about writing/publishing is viewing the cover for the first time and seeing my vision for the characters come to life.

In a nutshell? Finish your first book... No matter what it takes, no matter how bad you think it is. Why? Writing requires untold amounts of discipline and the first discipline is the most important. Finish the project.
The finished project can be cleaned up, edited, scrutinized, chucked in the trash or nominated for a Pulitzer. An unfinished manuscript is a burden, a reason to stop, a reason to doubt yourself, a reason for your detractors to say "I told you so."
Do you remember Tom Hanks in Castaway? "Look what I have created! I have made fire! I. Have. Made. Fire."

Tequila. No, not really. I don't drink though there have been times where it seems it might not be a bad idea.
I love writing and I usually have several stories going at one time so I don't get bored or lose my "muse". I have to treat writing as a business. Mind over matter is the best way to maintain a healthy writing schedule.

Oh, it's a fun story set over Christmastide in the extremely cold winter of 1816 in England. It is the story of Eloisa, the other woman in the powerful Duke of Sterling's life. She can no longer compete with the grand love of a deceased wife and must give him up or lose what is left of her self-respect.
