Sorry for the confusion! Past Suspicion is the first book I wrote and is definitely a standalone, not a part of the Frozen Footprints series at all, so it doesn't matter when you read it.
I do recommend reading Frozen Footprints before After the Thaw, since Frozen Footprints takes place first. That said, some readers have read After the Thaw first and still enjoyed it that way because it can technically be read as a standalone, though it certainly does reference some incidents from the first book.
Frozen Footprints (2 book series) just means this includes both books (Frozen Footprints and After the Thaw).
After the Thaw is called Frozen Footprints #2 because it is the second book in the Frozen Footprints series
