I take a long walk and don't listen to music. Music's great for getting me to walk faster, but I find I think so much clearer without it!

When people read and enjoy your book - and tell you they enjoyed it - it's the best feeling ever. Authors put their soul into every story and knowing they've touched people they've never met is so rewarding.

Find a subject that excites you and mold it into a story. Try not to be too self-indulgent with your writing. By that I mean, remember you're entertaining strangers with varying tastes. Think of books that have moved or entertained you and ask yourself why.

I'm working on a very English novel right now! It's called the Secrets of Mead. If you've ever watched the English show, 'Midsomer Murders', it's along those lines. A small English village with big personalities and lots of secrets!

I work in the radio business and was amazed at how quiet radio stations are at night. On-air personalities, for whatever reason, do tend to attract some 'interesting' followers!
