Serendipity in short. The four key characters, primary setting, and overall story came to me in foggy form, except for each character to begin with. As I prepared to begin the writing on Tuesday, March 27 2012, I fell with a burst brain aneurysm and had brain surgery late that evening. Next morning, I was still discovering aspects of the novel that I eventually completed in March 2015. I'm now working querying agents for it and on my fourth novel by lengthening and strengthening my earlier novella. Completely different books they'll be. JPC
