hey Janet! :D
I'm currently re-releasing books 1-3 since that arc's fairly self contained -- but I really do want to finish their story. My goal is to write (and end the series with) book 6, and then release 4-5-6 sometime next year, after 6 is written. I do have some other books on the docket though, between now and then, so I'll need to see how writing those goes first.
thanks for asking!

Hey Bryce! This has been a busy week -- and the next one is gonna be long too. But my email is y4writer@gmail.com -- give me yours and I'll keep you in the loop (or if someone else organizes one! :D)

I HAVE THE RIGHTS TO THESE BOOKS BACK NOW. So -- yes! Although I need to get to a clear spot in my schedule to have time to write them! <3
(the old wrong answer below!)
Argh, Sherry, I'm so sorry that it took me so long to see this. Right now, there's none planned, but hopefully that'll change in the future. Thanks!

ack, sorry, I didn't see this till now!
Unfortunately, there are no plans for audio books of those ones at this time -- those rights are held by my publisher, St. Martin's Press, and out of my hands.

Darn! I love the series, but suffer from migraines and can't sit to read for long periods of time (like when a good book snags my interest) I really enjoyed the first two books in the series and I'll keep checking back from time to time to see if a new audiobook pops up.

Hey James!
So, the difficulty in taking a traditionally published series onward in self-pub is that I can't control the prices or distribution of the originally trad-pubbed books.
With a self-pub series, I can move the prices up and down, I can take a huge loss on the first book of a series (making it entirely free, in fact) and use that as a promotion for the later books in the series. I also have the opportunity to change the backmatter of the books as time goes by to promote newer books in the series, and have links to my mailing list where people can sign up to find out about new books from me.
With the Edie Spence property being bound up at St. Martin's, I don't have any access to make changes at all -- the price being the most important consideration. It'd be an uphill battle to get people to join into a series (no matter how popular!) at book 6, even if I made book 6 'free' and had a 'The Series So Far' portion at the beginning of it, if they had to pay full price for five books to get that far.
The only real option I have for it would be for renewed interest in it (say if it were turned into a TV show) or to wait until the series goes out of print so that the rights revert to me and then I could repackage and republish the existing books and perhaps write new ones. That could take quite some time though, seeing as the books -- while not blowing the doors down at the bookstore ;) -- are still selling, and your sales really have to be next to nothing for most out-of-print clauses to kick in.
Additionally, I really don't have any way to 'touch' the buyers of previous physical books, alas. So even if the books reverted to me tomorrow, well, in that case I'd probably risk it, ha. But my books do sell better in paper than in e-formats, and so just by virtue of me taking all my future books in that series electronic (in that even though I could create physical books to sell, I wouldn't have access to a presence in a physical bookstore) I would already be minus half of my current readership who appear to prefer physical books purchased in stores.
Does that make sense? Thanks for the question, it's a good one, and I rather enjoy being a publishing agony aunt ;).

This is cool information: I'm in college now, first year, general education stuff, undeclared major.

Hey Judith! Unfortunately, there won't be for now. I miss her and I miss that series -- I'd like to continue it in the future, but until I have control of the first books in the series there's not much point.
Thanks for your interest!

They'll all be stand alone :D. They're only a series in the loosest definition of the term, in that they each involve a woman sleeping with whatever monster the book is themed around :D. Thanks for asking! :D

Awww, yay! I'm so glad you liked it!!! :D
So I'm planning on writing a novella in that world next month, about the dark man behind the purple door, and that would probably be released in Nov sometime. I'm sorry it's so far out, because I've got another Sleeping with Monsters book releasing between now and then, and another project entirely to edit. I am writing as fast as I can though! :D
