S.J. Barratt I wanted to write an agricultural project for children and ended up researching crofting in Shetland. The beauty of the islands and the spartan living inspired me. I hope my stories about two Londoners, living on a Shetland island with only 30 other people will now inspire children to get off their sofa and screens and connect outside with nature.
S.J. Barratt 2nd book. Living at the edge of the World - Spring. Will be published in 2025.
S.J. Barratt Just do it. Don't expect to make your fortune. Just enjoy the process and every step in the right direction!

S.J. Barratt My time is limited as a writer so I force myself to write when I have the opportunity to do so. Even if it is bad, it is still a basis to work from and can only be improved when reviewed... and I have words on the page, no such thing as a blank page for me!
