Hi B,
Thank you for your question. I had a great time writing each and every character in The Lion in the Colosseum. Kinsley and Jordan took a lot of time to write and their parallel paths in life show how someone who grows up thousands of miles away can be your soulmate if you are lucky to find them. Arthur was a fun one to write. So was Diane - the brutal truthteller that she is can be so honest and funny and heartbreaking at the same time.
But I would have to say that Barbara was the most fun if we are going with "fun." She kinds of puts everything into perspective and it is coming from her point of view but she is being as objective as she can. Angela was a "fun" friend to write about and I enjoyed writing the musings between one another as that fateful week in July in Mississippi unfolds.
