Thank you, Donna! I wrote Letters to Saint Lydia because I wanted to get to know my patron saint better. The story started from the idea of writing letters to a saint, and then took on a life of its own!

I don't know, exactly. I think we write the books we are given. Some combination of thoughts and memories and words suddenly converges in my brain. Sometimes, it passes quickly, like cloud patterns. Sometimes, it stays. If it stays, I write it.
