I take time away from it. Go for a walk, see a movie, read a new book, but write down any ideas that come into my head while I'm away.

Do not give up! That first draft is the hardest thing you will ever have to do, and there are times you will hate it. Just trust the process and get every single thought down on paper. There will be a time to go back and critique it or enlist someone to help you do it, but trust me, just get it all out there, and the rest will fall into place.

I write when inspiration strikes. I have tons of little notes written in my phone notes app from being out and about and coming up with a great quote or a plot line I planned to add in later!
